Recent comments on this blog prompted me to look into a very strange therapeutic and diagnostic device used by some practitioners of so-called alternative medicine (SCAM):

The OBERON provides the most unique tool for scanning the various organs and systems of the physical body without having to make a medical or surgical intrusion. Developed by Russian scientists since the early 1990’s, the OBERON is the most revolutionary computer programmed invention available in the world today for analyzing and treating all the body’s organs and functions.

This device scans each organ or tissue on a cellular level. It compares the measurements to a database of thousands of referenced conditions and their diagnosis. OBERON uses a special emitter to modulate the carrier frequency for the cell communication and it uses special sensor trigger readers built into headphones to read the cells own signals.

OBERON finds out how stressed an organ is, and if there are any diseases developing, how much the cells are influenced by a specific disease, and which micro organisms and bacteria are in the area at the time of the scan.

 Rebalances the body so that it can start to heal itself!
 Makes intrusive and embarrassing examinations a THING OF THE PAST!!!!
 Quick examination (in seconds) with immediate results
 Replaces dozens of traditional diagnostic methods.
 Finds weaknesses in the skeleton, organs, blood, tissue, etc.
 There are no side effects, unpleasantness or injury after treatment
 Bio-resonance META-therapy
 A print out of the report on findings can be taken at the end of the session…

The method is based on an analysis of the brain stems electromagnetic waves which contain the complete information of the entire organism. This information is read by a sensor. A frequency transmitter aimed at the projection area of the brain stem stimulates this electromagnetic radiation.

Meta- Therapy repairs the organism using a diversity of modulated electromagnetic waves. This treatment stimulates the body’s own functions so that they solve the problem and it stimulates the immune defense and is a very good supplement or alternative to traditional treatment. The patient can follow on the screen how the organ progressively gets better, and afterwards one can take a new measurement showing the improvement…

Sounds fantastic?

Yes, indeed – fantastic as in fantasy!

Almost as much relation to reality as OBERON, king of the fairies in medieval literature.

The modern OBERON device is being used by infamous proponents of integrated medicine like Dr Julian Kenyon who already made an appearance on this blog. On his website, Kenyon published a paper in which he provides details about the OBERON. To a lay person, the sciency text might look like science; however, this impression would be false. The ‘study’ Kenyon mentioned is not on Medline. In fact, Dr Kenyon (former associate of the late George Lewith) has merely 4 Medline-listed papers:

And what about other researchers? Aren’t there ANY decent studies of the OBERON?

Not as far as I can see (if anyone does know of peer-reviewed research, please let me know).

So, what is the conclusion?

My conclusion is this:

There is no evidence that the OBERON does anything useful other than putting money in the bank accounts of those charlatans who use or manufacture it.

And what does that make Kenyon and all the other SCAM practitioners using the OBERON or similar devices?

I leave it to you to decide.

24 Responses to The ‘OBERON’: revolutionary invention or dangerous con?

  • As it is providing diagnosis and treatment, it sounds like the OBERON should be regulated as a medical device. As it’s so nonsensical, I can’t imagine any regulator ever accepting it. That means the manufacturer is probably in breach of medical device regulations.

  • I would have thought that there was a ready market for it:

Though possibly Dr Kenyon might find himself at the wrong end of a copyright lawsuit from the makers of Star Trek. The Oberon device does sound a lot like a tricorder.

  • Live long and prosper.

If you do, it wont be thanks to The Oberon Device (although that sound like a good title for an episode).

  • This is not just bioresonance… This is NLS bioresonance 🙂

  • A trial in 2010 in Russia comparing OBERON to traditional methods of diagnostics, found that the OBERON had better performance results

I wonder if any Russian researchers are aware of this?

BTW, can we use it on horses?

  • In Russia use of bioresonance has been widespread for years in medical settings. My contacts advise me that the imedis system is more widely used. Some of these systems are not the random number or radionic based systems we often encounter in the EU.
There seem to be 100s of papers/articles all in Russian. Up to now there seems to be little interest in translation.
    Anyway you can go to
where you can get some measure of the extent of the usage of bioresonance.
The Russian Academy of Science apparently is not involved in any objections to bioresonance.
This will not be going away in Russia and usage is increasing.
Looking at the cost though for EU punters i doubt if it will be going elsewhere quickly any time soon.
    So you can all relax.
I might buy a new car instead.

  • Everyone has been brainwashed to repeat the word “peer-reviewed research” or “the scientific method”. IT DIDN’T EXIST BEFORE! It didnt exist such a term in 99,999% of human history. Yes it’s a useful method nowdays but 99% of all things you do, think or use in your life has not been approved by any “peer-reviewed research” or “scientific reserach”. They dont have monopoly of what works and not works. It’s a “top-down” thinking, while the world and all humans works in a “bottom up way” – we try our ways forward. To “prove” that your product works (why should you prove that if you know it works already??) you need so much money that you cannot afford it, but what works and not works is not dependant on “money”. It’s dependant on practical experience. If it works it works.

    • But it doesn’t work better than placebo. If I have a medical condition needing treatment, I want a treatment that works better than placebo.

  • I don’t know what Oberan is but I know what research is. The gentlemen who couldn’t list enough titles, that started this “review” did not in fact say aything of use to anyone. No facts, no data, just comments. From his list of titles he appears to be of the opinion that he is an expert, well in that case he should act like one. If there are a vast amount of studies in Russia one should expect that he would have reviewed them before making commnts about something that he clearly has not studied anything about. What ought to be provided is unbiased ojective science. This looks more like someone that is worried that someone may be stepping on his graveytrain – finanical health before patient health. Prove me wrong, do full research that is unbiased, objective and worthy of someone called a scientist – uninfluenced by research greants and other perks – if you can do that without losing your job. THen repost this because to a researcher this is utterly useless.

  • Clearly this site is a controlled mole trying to sabotage effective medical equipment. I own an Oberon and use it successfully on many family members once dealing with serious dis-eases. Of course, the powers that be do not want this information to get out the general public – after all, what will it do? Shut down uneffective gas chambers called hospitals? Like anything, only one can do their due diligance and research to find truth. Look what is offered to people today? Nothing that works….

  • There are way too many skeptics, I guess that’s the arrogance of the medical field (i.e. Pharma folks).
I’m not an affiliate, nor do I own an NLS machine.

    But hear me out.
I literally suffered unexplainable symptoms from the jab/c.vid vacks. Constant anxiety, breathless and many more ailments.
I got sick ~ every 1-2 months (whereas before, I NEVER got sick). Dr’s say, “You’re stressed, you’re anxiety is making you sick”…. Right, i never suffered anxiety, whereas a day after the jab, my life has turned upside down.

I even went as far as taking strong anti-anxiety meds to see if this was indeed the case. Anti-Inflammatories for Myocarditis. Nope. Nothing.

Fast forward to only 4 visits with the Bioresonance machine (feeling hopeless and not even being told that it would address any symptom), I suddenly felt a surge of deep inhalation, relaxation (the familiar baseline feeling before the vax) and just better thinking. I still have some lingering symptoms and am determined to find natural means to detox, and I pray who ever is struggling, that you don’t give up or get another b.o.o.ster.

I’m not saying this will work for you, but I will say, the internet is full of haters, arrogant skeptics hiding behind pharma, or just ignorant/close-minded. My life has changed, take it as you like.

Our governments are approving dangerous foods, products and even vaxx that have done more damage than good.
    Pharma is a bigger culprit.

Does it seem fair to throw shade at an industry (though loaded with its fair share of quackery), gets shot down and shamed for trying to create solutions for helpless, hardworking citizens, in an affordable and even non-invasive fashion?

Have a think, before considering responding with negativity and discouragement.
