It has been reported that King Charles is on a secret trip to Bengaluru, his first visit to India since being coronated as king of the United Kingdom on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey, London. Charles arrived in Bengaluru on October 27 and will be at the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre (SIHHC) in Whitefield for wellness treatment till Wednesday (30/10) night, when he is expected to fly to London.

Sources privy to his secret visit said that King Charles arrived in Bengaluru directly from Samoa, where he attended the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting from October 21-26. His visit to Bengaluru was strictly kept under wraps, and he was directly taken to SIHHC, where he was also joined by his wife, Queen Camilla.

According to sources, the couple’s day begins with a morning yoga session, followed by breakfast and rejuvenation treatment before lunch. After a brief rest, a second round of therapies follows, ending with a meditation session before dinner and lights out by 9 pm. They have been enjoying long walks around the campus, visiting the organic farm and cattle shed. Considering the high-profile secret visit, a high-security ring was thrown around SIHHC.

The health centre, founded by Dr. Issac Mathai, is located in Samethanahalli, Whitefield, on Bengaluru’s outskirts. This integrative medical facility combines traditional systems of medicine, including Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Yoga, and Naturopathy, along with over 30 complementary therapies like reflexology, acupuncture, and dietetics.

Although this is his first visit as a monarch, Charles has visited the centre on nine earlier occasions and celebrated Deepavali on three occasions there. The royal couple has earlier taken wellness treatments, including anti-ageing, detoxification and rejuvenation. On November 14, 2019, the couple celebrated the then Prince Charles’ 71st birthday at SIHHC, an event that attracted a lot of publicity, unlike this visit.

The website of the SIHHC modestly claims to be “THE WORLD’S FIRST INTEGRATIVE HEALTH DESTINATION’

As I reported in 2022, at a press conference in Goa it was claimed, that Prince Charles had been cured of COVID-19 after seeking treatment from a Bengaluru-based alternative treatment resort, SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre’ run by a doctor Isaac Mathai. The Palace later denied that this was true.

And what about Dr. Issac Mathai? This is what he writes about himself:

A journey that began from the hills of Wayanad (northern Kerala) in 1985, started to bloom in 1998, and today is an international destination for Holistic health and wellbeing. When Dr. Issac Mathai embarked on this journey influenced by his mother, a Homeopathy practitioner who “helped people get better”, little did he know that one day he would lead a team to redefine the essence of health and wellbeing.

As a confident youngster aspiring to be an ‘exceptional Homeopathic Doctor’, Dr. Mathai encountered two key turning points in life – one, an internationally well-received research paper on integrating Yoga with Homeopathy to cure respiratory disorders, and two, learning at the Hahnemann Postgraduate Institute of Homeopathy, London.

Later he was made a Consultant Physician at the Hale Clinic in London, where he treated a number of high-profile people. This helped him establish a reputation in the holistic healing community in quick time. SOUKYA, is today, a residential holistic centre comparable to any facility in the world.

In a world that is comfortable with the conventional practice of ‘popping pills’, the world at large practices a combination of self-medication based on preconceived notions about what is wrong with individuals. In such a scenario, Dr. Issac Mathai and his team of experienced practitioners from different streams have achieved an important goal – create awareness about the possibility of prevention of adverse health conditions, rather than just addressing the symptom.

Education:

M.D. (Homeopathy),
Hahnemann Post-Graduate Institute of Homeopathy, London M.R.C.H, London
Chinese Pulse Diagnosis and Acupuncture, WHO Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanjing, China
Trained (Mind-Body Medicine Programme) at Harvard Medical School, USA

Of the 3 institutions mentioned above, I could only find the last one: Harvard CME | Mind Body Medicine.

And under MD (Homeopathy), I found this: MD in Homoeopathy is a 3-year long postgraduate course in medicine including a year of house job, and remaining 2 years of research and study.

So, should we be concerned about the health of our King?

What do you think?

18 Responses to King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla on secret Bengaluru trip for treatment

  • I am no more or less concerned about the health of the king than I am about any other human being with whom I have no personal connection. It seems that in India you can get a doctorate in an extraordinarily wide range of quackery. I don’t mind Charles having a nice holiday, as long as nobody gets the message that all this poppycock is going to have any effect on his cancer.

    • I do have a personal connection – albeit not a positive one. Nontheless, I hope he receives the best treatment possible [which does not seem to be the case in the Indian resport].

“Charles has visited the centre on nine earlier occasions and celebrated Deepavali on three occasions there. The royal couple has earlier taken wellness treatments, including anti-ageing, detoxification and rejuvenation.”

To imply that the King and Queen are not even aware of the effect of the treatment on themselves after 9 visits, is stretching imagination a little too far.

        • you probably had homeopathy many more times – and still believe that it works.

“you probably had homeopathy many more times- and still believe that it works.”

The difference between me and you.

You had it and refuse to accept it. Forgot to check with your father as to why he would “…like many doctors in Germany at that time, knew of homeopathy and sometimes prescribed it.” endangering his own son? This sometime would have been? When conventional medicine had nothing to offer: just like today!

Results from crude drugs (Antibiotics?) that palliate/suppress symptoms and in the process convert a simple diseases into a serious life threatening conditions are accepted as medicine: even now after the mess is in the open. The reason: TINA or too much money at stake.

          • I do ask myself this:
how can one single moron come up with this amount of nonsense?
I have to give it to you, Krishna: in this, you are unique even amongst fellow morons.

Your quotes, reproduced here are “nonsense”?

            I agree.

And not only from me. There are many. Tell me something new.

Ah, yes, we should of course trust your judgement as someone who (by his own admission) has no education whatsoever in medicine, healthcare or science, and ban all medicines, especially antibiotics.

Whatever we do, we should certainly not listen to those ~100 million highly trained doctors, healthcare professionals and scientists, as they are only harming people, not helping them. At least that’s what you say.

OK, your suggestion to abandon the use of medicines such as antibiotics would of course mean that every year, dozens of millions of people would die from ‘simple diseases’ again, and our average life expectancy would decrease by some 20-30 years, but hey, millions of dead people is of course insignificant compared to the great progress in medicine achieved by reverting to pre-scientific times! Only the strongest, healthiest and above all luckiest people will survive, like Nature intended!

“…we should certainly not listen to those ~100 million highly trained doctors, healthcare professionals and scientists, as they are only harming people, not helping them.”

There are over a million people involved in preparing for war around the world, to save other millions of fools who are paying for it. Most of these involved in preparing for war are engineers, scientists, doctors,……. Are wars necessary or is it millions being killed for the benefit of a few? There are millions of humans engaged in killing others to supposedly save their own.

” 3000 odd people died in twin tower attack and America went to war. Many times more being killed in America by doctors, and no one is concerned”.

If the “scientific medicine” was really medicine, you would have packed your bags for Bangladesh slum without apprehension. All you needed to do was to ensure a “scientific doctor” in your group. The truth being that this “scientific doctor” would be the first one to call you out for such foolishness.

Or you could easily explain the rationale behind Americans requiring more “scientific medicine” than other citizens in the world.
Or counter the treatise of Dr Blaser about the reason behind “modern plagues”.
Or why millions of patients are being killed by doctors around the world- unknowingly.
Or why after all the randomized double blind testing……. “scientific medicines” are being “withdrawn(?) for being found the reason for imparting new cancers……
(none of these “findings” are by biased homeopaths.)

With time, the mess has continued to increase exponentially and cannot be explained away by blaming the food industry, environment……

The easiest explanation: millions of foolish people are being made to believe this is medicine, for the benefit of a few.

          • A sandwich short of a picnic doesn’t cut the mustard.

        • @Krishna

Well, it certainly seems to work, they don’t look a day over 85!

  • Thank you Professor Ernst for this update. As a retired Registered Dietitian I am writing to request that you change the comment which states dietetics is a complementary therapy.

In the UK, Dietetics is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council, along with other Professions Allied to Medicine, such as Physiotherapy. ‘Dietitian’ is a protected title and so it is a criminal offence to pretend to be a qualified dietitian without the appropriate qualification. In contrast, anyone can call themselves a nutritional therapist, register themselves with the British Association of Nutritional Therapists, or BANT……
I would be grateful if you could make the appropriate amendment.
    Many thanks.

  • Long live the king!

  • Soukya’s website is full of stuff about Chucky now, not to mention having a video message from him.

C’mon Chucky, ‘fess up to what really cured your cancer. Not to mention the role that your highly privileged life, huge wealth and lack of having to go out to work has played for you.

  • yes, about his mental health…

  • Long live King Charles III. He is always welcome to India.
