Action of individual Ingredients in Rite-Hite:
Baryta carbonica: For children who are mentally and physically backward, do not grow and develop swollen abdomen, loss of memory.
Silicea: For imperfect assimilation and consequent defective nutrition. Children who are slow walking.
Natrum Muriaticum: Great emaciation; losing flesh while eating well. Anaemia
Calcarea Phosphorica: For anemic children who are peevish with feeble digestion, it is excellent for tardy dentition troubles and promote growth of healthy bones. It also covers abdominal flatulence in children, mild inflammation of tonsils, colic or soreness around navel, diarrhea with undigested food in stools.
END OF QUOTES
In my view this is plain and obvious child abuse (I don’t need to go into showing that none of the claims are plausible/evidence-based because it is painfully obvious). Some of the clinical scenarios are indicative of a severely sick child, for instance:
- mentally and physically backward, do not grow and develop swollen abdomen, loss of memory;
- anaemic children who are peevish with feeble digestion;
- losing flesh while eating well, anaemia.
To not take such children to a doctor or hospital and instead lose valuable time with homeopathy is criminal neglect and unethical abuse. No question about that!
I can only hope that no parent will ever fall for it.
Maybe a parent who takes an interest in their child should look here at the extensive range of indications claimed to be covered by baryta carbonica, the first remedy on the list. (It’s barium carbonate to people unimpressed by homeopaths’ efforts to sound sophisticated.)
Anyone with even half an awareness of basic medical knowledge should react with anger at a ‘profession’ that embraces the possibility that one simple substance (never mind how dilute) can be used to treat developmental problems, lymphatic gland disorders, premature ageing, mental problems, headaches, eye symptoms, glandular swellings and eruptions about the ears, throat problems, impotence, vaginal discharge and coughs (to name a subset from the full range on display).
Any homeopath or homeopathist looking through the list at the link should feel utterly ashamed to read such abject nonsense. It would be hilariously funny if it weren’t sadly evident that many people believe sincerely in what can only be characterized as making an art form of utterly preposterous, grotesque, egregious absurdity.
Complete child abuse and some gullible parents who have done their “research” will fall for it. At best, we can only hope this does not kill any poor child.
Something like this reminds me of the medicine show con men of the late 19th & early 20th C in North America. An apparently famous slogan was “One for man, two for horse”.
Given the number of people openly criticising this hare- brained, and often murderous, nonsense, who among the altmeds decides who shall besued( viz the current case brought by the aggressive loon Colleen Huber)?
